Europarket Exhibition is the international trade fair for parquet flooring, wooden flooring, veneer parquet, laminate & cork flooring and supplies. It’s the leading Benelux event with over 200 exhibitors, including the top trademarks in the Benelux and Europe. Exhibitors showcased their best innovations, new products and collections plus the new trends for the coming year and competed for an award for the most innovative new product.

During the fair visitors voted for the products they considered to be the most innovative, Pergo showcased Sense; With a revolutionary new feature called SoftTech™. This patent pending new technology reduces the noise levels reflected from the flooring and makes it more comfortable to walk on. A sound reduction underlay is attached to the underside of the board, along with a sound blocking layer under the laminate surface which is done during the production process to achieve the sound reduction. With SoftTech™, Pergo has succeeded in doing the impossible: not only do PERGO® floors have an extremely hard-wearing surface that ensures a long lifespan, but they also feel softer to walk on.

Sense certainly caught the eye of the visitors, as Pergo took the trophy for the ‘Innovation Award 2008’ as voted for by the public.
